CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year

Olivia was born in England, and her family emigrated to Australia when she was six.  She formed her first musical group when barely into her teens.  The “Sol Four” performed in local coffee shops.

She entered and won a talent contest on the Australian TV show, “Sing, Sing, Sing”.  The prize was a trip to Great Britain, and she finally took the trip with her mom’s encouragement.  Her next musical group was soon formed and  “Pat and Olivia” toured night clubs in London.

In 1973 her single, “Let Me be There”, became a smash hit, earning Olivia a Grammy for Best Country Female, the ACM Most Promising Female Vocalist and the CMA award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Olivia went on to star in the movie, “Grease”, and the soundtrack became a landmark recording.
