Groenestege, John (Age 98)
John Groenestege passed away peacefully on his 98th birthday at Cedarcroft Place, Stratford on Saturday, January 10th.
Predeceased by his wife Jean, and infant son Christopher. Dear father of Maria Antonio & Phil, Anne Christopoulos & David, Theresa Lea & Richard, Ted & Linda, Betty Jantzi & Bob, Henry & Johanne, Bob & Brenda and Frank & Terry. Loving grandfather of 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters and many relatives in Canada and Holland.
A private family graveside service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Kinkora. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of John’s life which will be held on Friday, January 16th at the Mitchell Golf and Country Club from 2-5 p.m. with words of remembrance being held at 3 p.m.
