Roy Heighes of Harriston, and formerly of Minto Township, passed away at Palmerston Hospital on Wednesday, July 31st in his 101st year. Roy was the beloved husband of the late Edna Heighes, and father of Heather Heighes & Ivan, and Janice Heighes & Andy. Remembered by his sister-in-law Shirley Cudney, and by his many friends. Predeceased by his parents Wm. Herbert & Bernice Heighes, brothers Cecil, Harold, and Duke, and by his sisters Edna Lyon and Ethel Edwards. The family interment and committal services will be held at Harriston Cemetery on Saturday, August 3rd at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one prior. Reception at Harriston United Church.
