James (Thomas) “Jimmy” Edward Oke, of Goderich Twp., in his 85th year passed away suddenly at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Jim Oke; July 2, 1940 – July 20, 2024, Beloved husband of Joyce Oke (Blake). Loving father of the late Vicky (Oke) Schweitzer, Gary (Anita) Oke, Cathy (Craig) Alexander. Remembered by his special friends John and Linda McDonald, and their children Kimberly Riehl, John Cameron McDonald and their families. Predeceased by grand-daughter Heather McDonald. Devoted grandpa to Jason (Alicia) Schweitzer, Nathan Schweitzer, Chandler (Beth) Oke, Natalie (Robert) Oke, Joland Oke, and Blake Alexander, along with step-Grandpa to Chase Wood and Blake Wood. Devoted great grandpa to Jamen and Abel Schweitzer and Kash Oke. Also survived by Maxine Gould. Predeceased by brothers Murray Oke, Don (Betty) Oke and Ken (Ruth) Oke; Don and Glady (Blake) Stewart. Remembered by Maxine and Bill Seers, the Blake & Oke family and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Family & Friends will be received at the Goderich Legion, Goderich on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to MADD Huron/Bruce Chapter; Goderich Branch 109 Ladies Auxiliary or a charity of your choice gratefully acknowledged.
