Gail Monk, of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, January 18th at the age of 77. Beloved mother of Steven & Janet Monk and Glenn & Kim Monk. Honorary grandmother and great grandmother. Fondly remembered by her siblings Brenda & Bruce Kaufman and Vincent Ruhl, as well as by her in laws, Becky Monk, Doris & Larry Milligan, Susan McDermott and Kathleen & Doug Monk as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Everek, sister in law Kelley Ruhl and brothers in law Murray Monk and Rob McDermott. Family and friends are invited to a visitation held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elmwood on Tuesday, January 23rd from 10-11:15 am where a Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 am. Private family interment in Hanover Cemetery. For those unable to attend the funeral service, it will be recorded, and available for viewing in the days following the service on the Mighton Funeral Home website.
