Mary Smith of Dornoch passed away at home on Sunday, December 3rd in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Gordon Smith. Loving mother of Ruthann Smith & Chris Funston, Ellnor & John Van Eck, Elaine & Tim Young, Rosemary Smith, Gayle & Mike Baker, and Dennis & Joanne Hines. Mother-in-law of Gary Hooper. Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Isabel Tiffin, and sister-in-law of Shirley Hines, and Earl Reid. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Wednesday, December 6th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Thursday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m. Interment at Latona Cemetery.
