Ilene Hastie of Gorrie, passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged, on Tuesday, October 17th. She was 93.
Devoted wife of the late Bob Hastie. Loving mom of Kevin Hastie & Bev Werth of Listowel, Don & Deanna Hastie of Goderich and Brian Hastie of Gorrie. Cherished grandma of Ashley & Shawn Cowan, Jordan & Brandi McLaughlin, Kelsey & Mac Nichol, Jessie Hastie & Josh, Sean Hastie and Erin Hastie. Great-grandma of Dexter, Molly, Gavin, Alirah (uh-lee-ruh) and Zaylee. Sister Eleanor Shannon and sister-in-law of Mary Hastie and Marg Finnigan. Lovingly remembered by Darlene & Wayne as well as her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her parents Alex & Dorothy Matheson and siblings Gerald Matheson, Ray Matheson and Doris Simpson and Bob’s family, Edith Cameron, Marie Strong and Tom Hastie.
Visitation at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Monday, October 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment Wroxeter Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Wroxeter Hall. The funeral will be live-streamed on the funeral home’s website.
