David Hartung of Palmerston passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on October 3rd, in his 88th year. Beloved partner of Lillian “Lil” Henry. Proud father of Kathy Deniet, Karen & Bevin Brooks, Wayne Schnittker, 13 grandchildren & 12 great- grandchildren. Also remembered by Lil’s family. Survived also by brother Wayne Hartung and sisters-in-law Joan Hartung and Inez Hartung, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his wife Margaret Hartung, daughter Brenda Schnittker, infant son, and many sisters and brothers-in-law. Visitation will be held at Listowel Community Family Funeral Home, on Friday, October 6th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. Funeral service to be held at Zion United Church, Wallace Township, on Saturday, October 7th at 11 am. Interment in Zion United Church Cemetery.
