Jim Spivey of Mitchell passed away suddenly at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, September 16 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Aldeen Spivey. Dear step-father of Linda Nieuwkuyk, Susan Thibideau, Dennis & Linda Diegel, Cynthia & Richard Baechler and Cheryl May. Lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Georgina Spivey, Renata Rose, Esther Butson, Norma Rose and Norma Rolph. Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews and his dear dog “Gramps”. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Thursday, September 21st from 6-8 p.m. Jim’s funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church, Logan on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in First Lutheran Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
