Joseph Rys of Walkerton passed away on Monday, September 4th after a short stay at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton in his 84th year. Husband of Diane Margaret of 58 years. Joe was a loving father of Susan & Rob Lewis, Cathy & Dave Spitzig, Stephanie & Ron Sanko and Michael & Carrie Rys. He was an exceptional Papa to 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Joe will be missed by his brothers Douglas & Mary and Bob & Linda, along with sister-in law Gail Dixon, brothers-in-laws Ronnie Nichols and the late John Nichols. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial has been held. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton. A celebration will take place today at the Walkerton Golf & Curling Club from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 2:30 p.m.
