Doris Hays of Howick Township passed away at the Wingham & District Hospital on Thursday, September 7th at the age of 93. Wife of the late Stan Hays. Mother of Ruth & Paul Gardner, Jean & Bill Carmichael, Glen & Charlene Hays, and Brian Hays & Jackie Bucknell. Grandmother of 9 and great-grand of 6. Sister of Eileen & Jack Toms, Wesley & Gladys Wray, and Loreen & Frank Alton, and sister-in-law of Velma Hays, Margaret Fraser, and Jim Dinniwell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers John Wray and George Wray, and by her dear friend George Dickson. A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at the Teeswater Community Complex on Saturday, September 16th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment in Wroxeter Cemetery. The service will be live streamed, and the link available on the McBurney Funeral Home website.
