Cecil Baines of Durham passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Sunday, September 3rd in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Joan for 50 years. Loving father of Shaun Baines and his partner Jenn Dean, and Scott Baines and his partner Keri Stewart. Proud grandfather of Charlotte, and Cecil welcomed Wyatt, Dalynne, Colton, Logan, and Mya to the family. Dear brother of Mary & Royden McDermid, Wilda Eden, and Glen & Marie Marshall. Also remembered by his sister-in-law Audrey Marshall, and his many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Irene Baines, his brothers Irven Marshall, and Bruce & Norma Marshall, his brother-in-law John Eden, and his sister-in-law Pat Marshall. A funeral service celebrating Cecil’s life will be held at the Durham Community Centre on Sunday, September 10th at 2 p.m., followed by a casual come and go celebration of life from 3 – 6 p.m. Please dress casual, Cecil loved sports and you are welcome to wear your favourite jersey. Interment at McNeil Cemetery, Priceville.
