Shirley Cooke of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Sunday, August 13th at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Alvin Cooke. Dear mother of Bonnie & Karl Rodwell and Gerald & Susan Cooke. Loving grandmother of Jesse Rodwell & Lindsay, Sarah Rodwell & Derek, Brookelyn Rodwell and Ryan Cooke. Cherished great grandmother of Kain and Eve. Dear sister of Mabel Mielke. Dear sister-in-law of Phyllis McPhail, Doris Scheurman and Joan Cooke. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Irene Stahlke, sisters Viola & Adolph Lange, Doris & Vic Rempel and Bertha & Ray Sieling, brothers-in-law Art Mielke, Lloyd Cooke, George Cooke, Bob Cooke, Ross & Lenore Cooke, Jack McPhail and Greg Scheurman and sister-in-law Iona & Ross Everitt. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Thursday, August 17th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Mitchell on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Grace Lutheran Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre.
