Mary Van Bakel of Brodhagen passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, July 25th in her 77th year. Mary will be missed by her husband John of 55 years, and her children Donna & Doug Wolfe, Patrick & Janice Van Bakel, Corrie & CJ Bouw, Chris & Linda Van Bakel and Kelly & Amanda Van Bakel and her 16 grand and 6 great grandchildren. She will be remembered by her siblings Jack Flanagan, Ken & Cindy Flanagan, Larry & Joanne Flanagan, Teresa Finlayson, Patti & Al Koehler, Frank & Louise Flanagan, Bill & Marg Flanagan, her in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Connie Flanagan, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Martha Van Bakel, brother Joseph Flanagan, sister Catherine Flanagan, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Brad Finlayson, Wilhelmina and Willy Poppe, Catherine and Cor DeCorte and Gary Van Loon. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Friday, July 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dublin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dublin. A reception will follow at the Brodhagen Community Centre.
