Richard Carter of Listowel passed away unexpectedly at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, July 7, in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Shirley Carter of Listowel. Proud father of Wanda & Larry Thompson, and Susanne & Jason Voll. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ava, Dawn, and Abby. Brother of Leon and late Gladys Carter of Listowel, and Ted and late Rose Carter of Alberta, and brother-in-law of Frank Hinz of Kitchener, and Olive Carr of Orangeville. Loved and remembered also by his cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leonard & Violet Carter, brother Dennis Carter, and by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Margaret & Roy McIntosh, Della & Jim Johnston, Grace Bard, and Charlie Carr. Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Wednesday, July 12, from 10:00 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception hall. Memorial donations to Stratford Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
