With much love and deep sorrow, the family of Maxine Bucholtz announce her passing peacefully at The Village in Hanover on July 2 in her 90th year with her partner of 40 years, Berkley Hamilton, by her side. She will be sadly missed by her sons Donald and Marilyn Bucholtz and William Bucholtz, daughter-in- law Nancy Bucholtz, and Berkley’s children Lynn and Fern Lockhart, Shari Hamilton and Ryan and Robyn Hamilton. She will be cherished forever by grandchildren Shawn and Brooke Bucholtz, Krista and Rory Eckenswiller, Jenna Bucholtz, Amanda and Andrew Smith, Scott Hamilton, Zak Lockhart and Jorda Hamilton. A great grandmother to Aurora, Nixon, Reesa Eckenswiller and Jax Smith. Sister to Julie Hartman, Ruby Birr, the late Bud Fritz,Shirley Russell and Larry Fritz. Predeceased by her parents Elmer and Wilhelmene Fritz and son Lendley Bucholtz. As per Maxine’s request, there will not be a funeral service. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce would be appreciated.
