Betty Ahrens, of Markdale, formerly of Ayton, passed away at Grey-Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Saturday, July 15th, in her 96th year. She will be missed by her loving partner Arley Morran of Markdale. Survived by her children Mary Lou Pfeffer , Deborah and Dale Schnurr, and Janice and Luc Jacobs, and daughter in-law Geraldine Ahrens. Cherished grandmother of her 11 grand, 25 great grand, and 1 great great grandchild. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families, many close friends, and Wayne Pfeffer. Predeceased by her husband Louis, son John, grandchildren Cale Jacobs and Robert Schnurr, and siblings Edna and Henry Weltz, Herman Maes, and her parents Edgar and Mary Maes.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, July 20th, from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ayton, on Friday, July 21st, at 11 am. Betty Ahrens arrangements entrusted to Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover
