Frederick Bruce Moore, of Durham, passed away at Rockwood Terrace on Thursday, June 1st at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Bertha. Loving father of Laurie Hooper, and the late Rob Moore and his wife Deb. Cherished grandfather of Matt Hooper and his partner Shelby, Josh Hooper and his partner Allie, Beth Hooper, Becky Moore, Mike Moore and his partner Hailey, and Brittney Moore. Great-grandfather of Carma, and Georgie. Dear brother of Emilie and her husband Gilles St. Pierre. Dear brother-in-law of Lyle and Sheri Bender, Viola Bender, David Mills, Leon and Heidi Bender, Ernie and Brenda Bender, Dean and Maxine Bender, and Sheila and Robert Mayerhofer. Predeceased by his siblings Joyce Hollingsworth, Hazel Hammond, Ron Moore, and Bill Moore, his brother-in-law Jim Bender, and sister-in-law Darlene Mills. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Tuesday, June 6th from 7 – 9 p.m., where members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 308 will hold a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service honouring Bruce’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery.
