Maynard Hymers of Clinton, passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Monday June 12th in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Joy Hymers, and the late Barbara Hymers. Dearly loved father of Brenda MacIsaac, and Brad & Darlene Hymers. Cherished Papa of Amelia MacIsaac and Jesse, Gregory MacIsaac, Brittany Hymers-Dalrymple and Craig, Courtney Hymers and Jade, and Carson Hymers. Proud Great Papa of Layton, and Zara. Survived by his sister Mary Ann & Wes Chambers, and in laws Shirley & Eugene O’Brien, Jack Cleave, Al & Nancy Cleave, Sharon Brokenshire, Dianne Jeffrey & Allan Hohner. Favorite Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Also missed by the extended Henry-Hymers Family. Predeceased by parents Mike & Dorothy Hymers, step-father Elmer Frey, brother Murray Hymers, sister Beatrice Johnston, parents in law Ed & Dorothy Layton, Logan & Ilene Cleave, brothers in law Doug Layton, Wayne Layton, Rick Jeffrey, Glenn Cleave, and Allan Brokenshire. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Clinton. A celebration of Maynard’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #140 Clinton, 95 Kirk Street, Clinton, on Saturday June 17th from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Interment of ashes to take place at Clinton Cemetery.
