Helen Woods, 87, of Mitchell and formerly of Dublin passed away surrounded by her family at the Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, May 9. Beloved wife of the late Patrick J. “Paddy” Woods. Dear mother of Kieran Smale and Dave, Patrick Woods and Cindy, and Bette-Anne Stairs. Loving grandmother of 6. Loving great-grandmother of 4. Dear sister of Jim Horan and Laurene, Jack Horan, Shirley Clairmont, and Dr. Paul Horan. Dear sister-in-law of Rose Horan. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her granddaughter Lisa Bourdon, parents Fergus and Mary Horan, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 brothers-in-law, and 3 sisters-in-law. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Friday, May 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dublin from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dublin at a later date.
