Somers, Fannie (Age 92)

Fannie Somers passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, March, 11th, after a brief illness. She was in her 93rd year. She was mother to sons Rodger and Dianne, Ross and Judy, Rick and Debbie, Randy and Tammy, and daughter Janice and Bill Smith. She was grandmother to Robin Somers, Katrina Somers, Heather Logan, Scott Somers, Troy Gower, Adam Somers, Brett Somers, Sara Somers and Jordan, Zach and Logan Smith and she was great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Doris Stuart and Grace Thompson. Her husband, George, passed away in December 2017 and her son, Rodger, in October 2014. Besides her husband and her son, she was predeceased by brothers, Arthur and Donald McLean, and sisters Janet Currie, Mary Pennington, Ruby Warner, and Ella Gwynn. Family and friends will be received at Melville Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 18, at 11 am for visitation and funeral service to follow at 12pm.
