Henry Askes of Mitchell at Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, March 6, at the age of 74. Husband and soulmate of Ruby Askes. Beloved father of Henry Askes and Becky Nichol, Andrea and Rients Miedema, David Askes, Laura and Corey Passchier, and Lindsay and Cory Gordon. Special Grampa and scotch mint dispenser of 18. Great-grandfather of 1. Cherished brother of Dick and Dixie Askes, Jennie and Spike Bakker, Bert and Jenny Askes, Dianne and Jan Polley, John and Marlene Askes, Martin and Lorna Askes, and Bonnie and Don Bakelaar. Much loved brother-in-law of 10. Also much loved by his mother-in-law Didy Roukema and his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Stratford Christian Reformed Church, Stratford, on Thursday, March 9, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. His Celebration of Life will be held at church on Saturday, March 11, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live-streamed, and the link will be available on the funeral home and church website. Spring internment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
