Francisca Rego of Listowel passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 9, in her 85th year. Wife of the late Mateus Borges Rego. Mother of Raquel Sousa and Alvaro, Mateus Rego and Melissa, Frank Rego and Jennifer, and Ana Rego and Brad. Vovó of 7, and great-vovó of 5. Sister of Ana Diniz, and sister-in-law of Maria Diniz, Joao & Helena Rego, Maria & Anastasio Diniz, Valentino Toledo, and Ana Rego. Predeceased by her daughter Ana-Fatima, brother Frank Diniz, sister-in-law Maria Toledo, and brothers-in-law Joao Diniz and Jack Rego. Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., with prayers at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel, on Thursday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
