Olive Metcalfe of Harriston passed away at Caressant Care, Harriston on Monday, January 23, in her 92nd year. Wife of the late Lorne Metcalfe, and mother of Carol Ortelli and Malcolm of Espanola, and Wallace Metcalfe and Luce of Laverochere, Quebec. Grandmother of 3 and great-grandmother of 5. Sister of Shirley Sheardown, Walter and Grace Sheardown, John and Helen Sheardown, Helen Connell, Lorna Jelly, and Ann and Ron Bowles; and sister-in-law of Allan Metcalfe, Edgar Metcalfe, Don and Diane Metcalfe, and Mary Sheardown. Predeceased by brothers Jim Sheardown and his wife Connie, and Hugh Sheardown, and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ruth Metcalfe, Hilda Metcalfe, Jim Connell, Murray Jelly, and Earl and Beth Metcalfe, and by her parents Hugh and Mabel Sheardown. The funeral service will be held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday, January 29 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
