Heather Hamel, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on January 27 in her 65th year. Cherished daughter of Kathleen Hamel and the late Orville Hamel. Loving mom of Venetia Paquette and Mike, Justin Cawthorne and Sasha Kotzeff, and Katlyn Cawthorne. Proud grandma of Matthew, Mackenzie, Marcus, Payton, and Jaycee. Dear sister of Patricia Thompson, David Hamel and Brenda, Bev Hamel and Katharine Hamel and Dave Fallis. Heather will also be dearly missed by her friend Dave Brueckman, friend Rodney Cawthorne, and by lots of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, on Friday, February 3, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery later in the spring.
