Helen Barkwell of Kincardine passed away at Kincardine Hospital, with loved ones at her side on January 20. She was 94 years old. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Frank Barkwell who predeceased her in 2008. Helen was born to her late parents Myrtle and Oliver Smith. She is survived by her brother Wes and Margaret Smith. Dear aunt of John and Rosalind Brooks, Linda and Ben Beishuizen, Susan and Fred Doupe, Rick Smith and Linda, Mary-Margaret Smith and Holly, Barb and Don Murray, and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Marjorie and Stewart Brook. Visitation will be held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley today (Jan 24), from 12:00 – 1:30 PM prior to the funeral service which will be conducted at 2:00 PM. Spring Interment at Ripley Cemetery.
