David Ward, with Angels watching over him, passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Tuesday, December 6, in his 76th year. Cherished husband of Henny Ward of Mount Forest for 48 happy years. Loving father of Laurie and David Van Staveren, Karen and Rick Carter, Brian and Jenn Ward, and Christina Ward. Beloved grandfather of Melissa, Nathan and Kyle Van Staveren; and Kayla, Brooklyn and Haley Ward. Survived by his sisters Susan and Murray Fatt and Eleda and Mel McCaffery, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Mildred Ward. Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest, on Thursday, December 8, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Mount Forest United Church, on Friday, December 9th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. Spring interment will be held at Mount Forest Cemetery.
