Helen Newman of Ayton passed away peacefully at home during the blizzard on Saturday, December 24, in her 67th year. Helen was the wife of Stanley Newman, and mother of Christine Newman, Raymond Newman and Kathy McCausland, and Brenda Newman. Grandmother of Braden, Michael and Karson. Sister of Marilyn and Keith Damen, Robert and Jean Clyne, Keith and Doris Jean Clyne, and Karen and Roy Harris, and sister-in-law of Cindy Clyne, Dennis and Pat Newman, Kathy Morden and Brian Damm, Bruce Newman, Clare and Caroline Newman, and Jim Leon. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and their families. Predeceased by her brother David Clyne, her sister Linda Clyne, her sister-in- law Beth Ann Leon, her parents Harold and Lois Clyne, Stan’s parents Fred and Muriel Newman, nephews Jamie Frank and Blane Morden, and great-nephew Kevin Newman. The family will receive friends at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Alsfeldt United Church on Saturday, December 31 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Ayton Union Cemetery.
