With deep sadness we announce the death of Richard John Rose, 68, of Mitchell, on Monday, November 28. John was a kind, thoughtful, and loving husband to Karen Rose. A proud and dedicated father to Krista Knudsen and Ted and Trevor Rose and Brooke. A delighted and involved grandfather of Benjamin, Clara, Elliott, and Natalie. A dear brother and dependable rock to Judy Jansen, Joanne Dawe and Brad, Jackie Wietersen and Dave and brother-in-law of Marcy Rose-Mueller and Randy. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Remembered fondly by Karen’s children Candace Balsdon, Shawn Balsdon and Leah, and grandchildren Hailey, Jak and Royce. Predeceased by his beloved parents Donna and Laverne and brother Jeff. Family and friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Saturday, December 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those wishing to attend the visitation are asked to schedule a time at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by calling the funeral home.
