George Strachan of Minto Township passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Sunday, October 23, in his 89th year. Much loved husband of Agnes Strachan for almost 65 years. Loving father of Patricia Strachan & Rob Robson, Brenda & Dave Holliday, and Ian & Amy Strachan. Cherished grandfather of 6, and predeceased by his grandson, Matthew. Dearly missed by his 8 great-grandchildren. Beloved brother of Joy Murray, and predeceased by sister Evelyn Mackenzie and brother Harvey Strachan. George will be missed by his extended Gammie and Strachan families in Scotland, England and Australia. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a private family service to follow.
