Joseph “Joe” Niesen of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, October 29, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, at age 72. He will be dearly missed by his wife Margaret of 40 years and their children Janice and Derek. Joe will be fondly remembered by his siblings Rita Brandridge, Carol and Wally Halliday, Chuck and Vivian, Jim and Dennise, Betty and Rob Giaschi, Mike and Annie Finch, Ann and Harvey Voisin, Dave and Penney, Doris Walker and Oleh Wozniuk, mother-in-law Marion Elliott, brothers-in-law Ken and Kathy Elliott, and Ralph Elliott, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Mary Ann, Delores, Bob, and Bill, brother-in-law Lawrence Brandridge, Mike’s partner Lily Graham, father-in-law Murray Elliot and parents Stanley and Bernice Niesen. Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, at St. Paul’s United Church, Walkerton. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment in Walkerton Cemetery.
