Helen Matthews, graciously passed away on Monday, October 24, in her beloved century stone home. Surrounded by her children. Predeceased by her husband Grant in 1993. Helen was Mom/Ma to her three sons Gary and Anne Matthews, Jim and Barb Matthews, and Ron and Deenie Matthews, as well as to her two daughters Barbara Anne Matthews and Rex Warren, and Heather and Bevan Weber. Her twelve grandchildren and her eighteen beautiful, great grandchildren are Grandma Matthews’ legacy. Lovingly she is survived by her sisters Elaine Kaufman, Joan Kaufman, Shirley Church, Ardelle Quigley, Carol Wiebe and Marilyn Bainard, sisters in law Laura, Evelyn and Trudy Klages and by her dear brother Brian Klages. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Bessie Klages, and her brothers Doug, Murray, Carmen and Glenn Klages. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Alsfeldt United Church, Normanby Township, on Saturday, October 28th at 11:00 a.m. The service will be recorded and the link available here shortly after the funeral.
