Thomas Earl Illman, age 86, of Stratford formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital after many health issues on Friday, October 21. Son of the late Dick and Rita Illman. Earl will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Marg. Loved father of Shelley Smith and Dan Curl, and Shannon Schweitzer and Tim. Also survived by grandchildren Brittany and Wes, Brandon and Cassandra, Christine and Wes, Maggie and Scott, Paige and Scott, and 7 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Jake Curl and Trevor, Josh Curl and Sarah and family. Sadly missed by brother in law Gary Smith, Ken Smith and Deb, and sister-in-law Orma Mackay. His presence at family gatherings will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Earl’s life will be held on Saturday, November 12, at the Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue, East, Stratford from 1 – 4 pm with Words of Remembrance at 3 pm. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com.
