Elder, Blanche (Age 99, Chesley)

Blanche Elder, formerly of R.R. #4, Chesley, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 26, in her 100th year. Loving mother of Helen and Jack Cumming, Keith and Sherry Elder, June Craig, and Bernice and Don Ewart. Blanche will be dearly missed by her fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Donna Bryce, Ron and Marlene Calhoun, and Leonard and Pat Calhoun. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Gordon, sister Joy and Carmen Cruickshank, brother Willard and Helen Calhoun, brother-in-law John Bryce, sister-in-law Eloise Calhoun and her parents Charles and Hazel Calhoun. Visitation will be held at St. John’s United Church, Chesley on Tuesday, November 1, from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. with the service to follow at 12 noon. Interment in Chesley Cemetery. www.rhodyfamily.com.
