John Eckert, peacefully at Mitchel Nursing Home, on September 28, of Seaforth at the age of 71. Dear brother of Cathy Martin and Joe of Kitchener Waterloo, Connie Murray of Dublin, Elaine MacDonald and Bob of Mississauga, Mary Garon and Raymond of Clinton, the late Bobby Eckert and Christa of Seaforth and Margie Mahoney and Dan of Blenheim. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Missed by his friend Jack. Predeceased by parents Claire and Conrad Eckert, and brother-in-law Arthur Murray. In keeping with John’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth on Sunday, October 16, from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Registration is required and appreciated. To register, please click “Register Now” online. John’s Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Seaforth on Monday, October 17, at 11 AM. Interment at St. James Cemetery, Seaforth.
