Katherine VanDonkersgoed of Gowanstown passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, September 23, at the age of 15, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Daughter of Jon & Karen VanDonkersgoed, and big sister of Tamara and Trey. Granddaughter of John & Betty VanDonkersgoed, and Bill & Martha Hiemstra, and great-granddaughter of Henry Hiemstra. Loved by her aunts and uncles, Sophie & Chuck Lise, Sheryl & Marlin Adrian, Wendy & Adam Cosens, Tim & Lindsey Hiemstra, Karen & Roger Dykstra, Al & Sherra VanDonkersgoed, Mark & Brenda VanDonkersgoed, Maria & Dave Empringham, and Richard & Diane VanDonkersgoed, and Lisa & Murray Fletcher, and by her many cousins. Visitation will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel, on Tuesday from 1:30 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please reserve a time by selecting RSVP on the funeral home website. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel, on Wednesday, September 28, at 2pm.
