Diane Rys, passed away Saturday, September 24th, at the age of 80, with her family by her side. Diane was the most loving and supportive wife of 58 years to Joe, caring mother to Susan and Rob Lewis, Cathy and Dave Spitzig, Stephanie and Ron Sanko and Michael and Carrie Rys. Diane held a special place in her heart for each of her 9 grandchildren. Diane cherished the beautiful relationship she had with her only sister Gail. She played a nurturing role to her brother Ronnie Nichols. Diane will be missed by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, aunts, and uncles, with whom she always maintained close relationships. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and John Nichols and her brother John. Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton, following mass. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
