Betty Maedel, of Mitchell passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Ritz Lutheran Villa on August 12, at the age of 96. She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Frieda Litt. Predeceased by the love of her life, Carl Maedel who passed in 1997. Loving mother of Paul and Fern Maedel, Liz and Tom Goodyer, Colleen and Vince Priestap and the late Alan Maedel. Special grandmother to 12. Betty was blessed with 20 Great Grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Betty will be fondly remembered by her dear sisters Evelyn, Leone and Donna and Walter and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Monkton Community Centre on August 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at Monkton Community Centre on August 17, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
