Renee Meinen, 86, of Mitchell went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 16, after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late John Meinen. Dear mother of Angela DeWeerd and John, Joanne Salverda and Ed, Fran Timmermans and John, Arlene Bouwmeester and Brian, Brenda Diehl and Doug, Ian Meinen and Cheryl, Marilyn Meinen and Kris, Brad Meinen and Sharon, Dave Meinen and Jenny, Helen Elliott and Chris and Sharon Leegstra and Rob. Loving grandmother of 41 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Dear sister of John Kroesbergen, Brand Kroesbergen and Aafke and Gerald Kroesbergen and Johanna. Dear sister-in-law of Jane Kroesbergen, Breunis Van Holland and Chris Otten. Also surviving is the Meinen family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Johanna Kroesbergen, granddaughter Tanya Bouwmeester, grandson Jabin Meinen, brother Henk, sisters Aartje Van Holland and Joanne Otten and sister-in-law Bertha Kroesbergen. Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Tuesday, July 19, from 2-4:30 and 6-8:30 p.m. Those attending the funeral home visitation are asked to schedule a time at LockhartFuneralHome.com or by calling. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Free Reformed Church, Mitchell on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. (scheduling not required for funeral service). Interment to follow in Bethel Munro Cemetery.
