Virgil McNabb, of Durham, passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, July 21st, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean McNabb. Loving father of Rhonda Lantz, Rodney McNabb and Gail, Randy McNabb and Vicki, and Kristi and Adam Acres. Cherished grandfather of 11. Great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Donna and Jim Griscti, Udell and Murray Gonder, and Darlene Vondette and Bob Levely. Brother-in-law of Rick Frook and Lou-Ann, and Bernice Frook. Predeceased by his son-in-law Gary Eagles, his granddaughter Angel Acres and his brother-in-law Don Frook. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, July 25th from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Virgil’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m. In true Virgil spirit, the family asks that you “come as you are”, casual attire is welcome at the visitation and at the service. Private interment at Durham Cemetery.
