Anson ‘Sam’ Ruttan, formerly of Wingham and Fordwich, passed away at Huronlea, Brussels on Friday, June 3, at the age of 97 years. Beloved husband of Wilda Ruttan of 77 years. Father of Audrey & Garfield Gibson, Jack & Helen Ruttan, and Janis & Bill Wallace. Grandfather of 7. Great-grandfather of 5. Also survived by sisters-in-law Lovina Ruttan, Dorothy Ruttan, Marg Montgomery, and Melva Fraser. Predeceased by his parents Leonard & Margaret Ruttan, and siblings Bennett, Arthur, Russel, Leo, Bob, and sister Gwen Fraser. Visitation will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live streamed, and the link is available on the funeral home website.
