Derek Nind passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital at the age of 87 surrounded by love. Beloved husband and high school sweetheart of Shirley Nind whom he was with for 64 years. Loving father and granddad of Jackie Campbell and the late Al and their 3 children; Tom and Carrie-Ann Nind and their 4 children; Judi and Rick Stahl and their 3 children. Cherished GG to 3. Fondly remembered by his half-sister, Janny Boomsma, half-brother Mike Nind, sister-in-law Mary Colquhoun-Nind and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Stanley Nind and mother Margery Nind and brothers Forbes and Paul. In keeping with Derek’ wishes, cremation will take place. Visitation will be held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, Atwood on Wednesday June 8, from 2-5 p.m and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Derek’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel on Thursday June 9, at 11 a.m. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
