Leo Montag, of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side, on Friday, June 24. He was 82. Born to the late Leo and Rita Montag. Survived by devoted wife of 60 years, Loretta. Loved and adored father of Leo and Lorraine Montag, Loretta Montag, Nancy and Wilfried Boerkamp, Michele and Dave Bowering, Tammy Weller and Mark Pegelo, and Randy Montag and Pamela Gold. Proud grandfather of 28, and great grandfather of 14. Fondly remembered by siblings John Montag, Alphonse Montag, Rita and Roger Boudreau, Alice and Ron Paleczny, Clare and Roseanne Montag, Clara and Sam Geddes, Jerome and Marlene Montag, and Clarence and Marlene Montag and Bernadette and Larry Schlorff as well as many brothers and sisters in-law and their families. Visitation will be held at Holy Family Parish, Hanover, on Tuesday, June 28, from 10-10:45 am, where a Celebration of Life and Mass will follow at 11am. Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe. Lunch following the interment at Holy Family Parish. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca.
