Verdon Rae, of Mount Forest, passed away unexpectedly at the Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday, May 27, in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Marion Rae. Loving father of Bev Rae and Donna, Lois Donald and Jim, Doris Aitken and Brian, Don Rae and Kathy, Donna Reeves and John, Mary Iles and Ken, and father-in-law of Barb Rae-Schneider. Cherished grandfather of 22 and great-grandfather of 18. Verdon was predeceased by his son Clifton Rae. Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, 116 Fergus Street North, Mount Forest, today from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. If you are unable to attend the service in person, you are invited to view livestream by visiting the England funeral Homes Facebook page. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Southgate Township.
