Wassink, Fran (Age 65, Palmerston)

Fran Wassink of Palmerston, was called quickly and peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus her Savior at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph on Wednesday. She was 65. Loving mother of Ian Wassink and Christine Nesseth of Manitoba; Julie Wassink and Justin Jacobs of London; and Zachary and Nicolette Wassink of British Columbia. Proud Oma of Ainsley, Ashton, Georgia, Jackson, and Denver. Sister of Alex and Janet Van Niekerk, Hendrika “Rita” Van Niekerk and Rob Visser of The Netherlands, and Connie Van Niekerk and Luc Stal of The Netherlands. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and many long-time and new friends. In accordance with Fran’s wishes, only a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at Listowel Baptist Church. Private interment ceremony for the family will follow at Palmerston Cemetery.
