Robert “Murray” Mewhinney, formerly of Lucknow, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough on Saturday, March 5, at the age of 71. He will be forever loved and missed by his children, Shawn, and Tyler and Joanne Mewhinney, his granddaughter, Kyla and his unborn grandchild on the way. Loving partner of Linda Storey and cherished friend of her children, Lindsey and Sheldon. Dear brother of Doug and Cathy Mewhinney, Linda and Bev Hunter, Kathy and Rae Nicholson, Dave and Ellen Mewhinney, the late Marie and Mike McAuley, and the late Ken Mewhinney. He will be missed by his 10 nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Hendren Funeral Home, Lakefield on Saturday, March 12, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
