Richard Kootstra of Clinton, peacefully, with family by his side, at Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday, March 26, in his 87th year. Father of Johanna and Geoff Rether, Rick and Leanne Armstrong, Rob and Janet Bosma, Jon, Derek and Michelle Shropshall, and Roxanne. Pake to 10. Survived by his sister-in-law Pat Kootstra and brothers-in-law Bruce Dykstra and Gary DeGroot. Also survived by the mother of his children, Rachel Kootstra. Richard was also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their children. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Johanna Kootstra, brother Wesley, and sisters Vicky and Henny. A service of remembrance will be held at the Clinton Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. A live stream will also be made available. Private family interment at Baird’s Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at the Clinton Legion, on Wednesday, March 30 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
