Catharina Versteeg passed away at the Fordwich Village Nursing Home to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Tuesday, December 21, in her 94th year. Wife of the late Jakob ‘Jake’ Versteeg. Mother of Carrie Groen and Ralph, Irene Reinink and Robert, Martha Schellingerhoud and George, Abe Versteeg and Debbie, and Eric Versteeg and Hazel, and mother-in-law of Louise Versteeg. Remembered by 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Tinie Versteeg, Nellie Pennings, Geertje van Duinen, Jaapije van Duinen, and Ali Versteeg. She was predeceased by her son Art, her daughter Betty, and by her brothers Jan, Gerrit, Dies, and Bram van Duinen. Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Guests attending the visitation must RSVP on the funeral home website, or by calling. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel on Tuesday, December 28th at 1:30 p.m. Spring interment in Lakelet Cemetery.
