Gerald Becker “Charlie”, of RR3 Ayton, passed away on Friday, October 22, surrounded by his family at home. He was 66. Son of the late Menno and Eileen Becker. Survived by wife Deborah Becker, children Michael Becker, Chad Becker and Jamie Grove, and Tonya Becker and Jason Moore. Loved grandpa of Emma and Owen, also fondly missed by Robert, Michael, David, William and Hannah. Dear Godfather of Jodie Nuhn and Derek Verstege. Fondly remembered by his siblings Laverne and Janice Becker, Dennis and Lorie Becker, Elaine and Paul Szigatti, and Kathy and Ben Verstege. Missed dearly by his mother-in-law Doreen Lantz as well as Deb’s siblings. Charlie will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Dianne Waugh and his father-in-law George Lantz Sr. A Public Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, October 27, from 5-8 pm. As per COVID restrictions, masks are mandatory indoors and social distancing to be followed. Contact tracing will be completed for all visitors. All are welcome. A Private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 28, at 1:00 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church Ayton, and will be live streamed through the Mighton Funeral Home Facebook page. The live stream will start approximately 5-10 minutes prior to the service – at that time, please look for the live stream video post on the Funeral Home Facebook Page to join the service. For people unable to join at the time of the service, the live stream video will remain posted and available for viewing afterwards, and will also be posted on the Funeral Home obituary page afterwards.
