Ira Newton of Harriston, passed away at Harriston Retirement Residence on Tuesday, September 28, in his 87th year. Brother of Dorothy Emke and her husband Russell of Elmwood. Predeceased by his brothers Ralph Newton and wife Carol, Lloyd Newton and wife Beulah, sisters Betty Newton, and infant Velma Newton, and by his parents Howard and Jessie Newton. A private family funeral service will be held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Friday, October 1, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
